Who was Paul Klee?
Paul Klee (1879–1940) was a Swiss-German painter associated with Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism. Klee taught at the Bauhaus between 1921 and 1919, where he became one of the school’s most influential instructors. Throughout his career, he produced thousands of works ranging from delicate watercolours to complex oil paintings, often marked by subtle humour and poetic titles.
