Who was Juan Gris?
Juan Gris (1887–1927) was a Spanish painter and one of the leading figures of Cubism. Known for his precise compositions, harmonious color palettes, and intellectual approach to structure, Gris helped define what became known as Synthetic Cubism.
Though often mentioned alongside Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, Gris developed a distinct style that brought clarity and order to Cubism’s fragmented forms.
